(Downtown) Under-8/ Under 9 Boys Recreation Program
Program Overview
Designed for children born in 2019/2018.
Players begin to refine their technical skills while gaining a better understanding of the flow of the game. This is where we truly to instill the competition into the kids. Training introduces passing, movement, and basic positioning through small-sided games and guided activities.
Sessions encourage teamwork, listening skills, and effort, while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere that supports continued confidence and development.

Who this program is for
This introductory program is designed for children born in the year 2019/2018. This program is specifically intended to facilitate families who live in the downtown Toronto core, in particular Fort York, Liberty Village, Harborfront, Kensington-Chinatown and surrounding neighborhoods.

What they learn
- Fundamentals Development level
- Progress to slightly more complex movement, skills and coordination
- Encourage communication to the coach and peers
- 1v1 competition is incorporated into almost every session (foundation of making skilled players)
- Teach offensive 1v1 moments and defensive 1v1 moments
- Incorporation of 2v1 scenarios and 2v2 scenarios
- Technical passing is slowly incorporated into sessions
- Connecting drills to real game scenarios
